Yorba Wines are the result of tradition, experience and passion combining to produce outstanding wines, each one unique, but all with a strong connection to the land on which they’re grown. Four distinct varietals – Barbera, Zinfandel, Syrah and Tempranillo – are joined with our vineyard blend, Shake Ridge, which is an expression of the ranch.  |
2007 Zinfandel: The Sierra Foothills provide the ideal growing conditions for Zinfandel, and 2007 was no exception, allowing the Zinfandel to develop intense aromas and color while maintaining great acidity. At harvest the berries tasted just like wild blackberries, and the wine follows through on that promise. The bright brambly fruit aromas are followed by juicy notes of raspberries and cherries with a touch of spice. Big and bold, yet also structured and elegant, this wine is a delight. 2008 Barbera: Happy in the Foothills! Our hot days and cool nights give this variety what is needed to tame the wild acidity, yet maintain the beautiful fruit characteristics. And this wine is bursting with fruit - plums and blueberries, layered with exotic spices and Barbera's famous 'earthiness'. The bright acidity allows the wine to pair with a wide range of food - spicy pastas, fresh mozzarella and ripe tomatoes, and will complement most anything you might throw on the grill. 2008 Tempranillo: “Yummy!” Ken doesn't often get so excited, but this wine got to him! Still young, but ready to introduce to you. Blackberry, dark chocolate are joined by baking spices and violets.
