Library Wines
Every year we hold back a few cases of each vintage for our library to see how they age in the bottle and taste next to future vintages. Site-specific viticulture and wine-making is truly a dynamic process, especially with the micro-climates of the Sierra foothills, and we are constantly learning and adjusting how we farm and ferment each clone of each varietal. We hope you will join us in this process. The library will change often, so be sure to check back in occasionally.  |
2007 Syrah: We've settled on three clones for this focused wine - one has bright lively fruit, another dark exotic spice and the third rich deep blackberry. 2007 Shake Ridge Red: Though we love the different characters of the individual Yorba varietals, we wanted one wine to capture the essence of Shake Ridge Vineyard. A showcase of our unique combination of varieties, soils and expert care, Shake Ridge Red is truly a year-to-year revue of “The Ranch”. The 2007 Shake Ridge Red takes the dense richness of Syrah and layers in the bright lovely fruit of Primitivo. Petite Sirah provides the structure and backbone, and Mourvedre adds exotic spices.
