Feasting in the Foothills, Taste Restaurant

First up, Chef Micah of Taste Restaurant.This James Beard recognized, Zagat-rated, Wine Spectator of Excellence awarded restaurant is as plentiful in its cuisine as it is with awards. 


Feast on Chef Micah's summer shanghai BBQ chicken, marinated in ginger, soy, sesame and herbs, served with chilled vermicelli noodle salad (basil, mint, cilantro, sweet peppers, sweet pepper puree).


Available for pick up at Taste Restaurant in Plymouth. Yorba Wines available at Taste Restaurant or at our Sutter Creek tasting room.

Chicken Marinate Ingredients


  • 2 pound chicken thighs, breasts, or drumsticks

  • 2 tbs ginger, grated

  • ½ onion, minced

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbs rice vinegar

  • ½ tbs sesame oil

  • ½ cup mixed herbs, cilantro, basil, mint, chopped


Also: Sweet peppers and vermicelli noodles

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with other ingredients overnight.

  2. Preheat a grill to 425 degrees and cook chicken until desired doneness.

  3. Serve with sliced and sauteed sweet peppers over vermicelli noodles and fresh herbs.
