Our Greco Story: di Oro, Not di Tufo

Greco di Tufo is an appellation in Italy that uses the variety name as the region, much like Champagne, so we couldn't use it on our label.

Since Tufo is also a reference to the volcanic ash soil of that region of Campania, we decided to consider our soil and history.

So that's the story. Greco di Oro is named after our Gold Country, and by the way, it also happens to be our favorite winter white. Pair it with seafood (crab, anyone?) or thunderstorm watching.

Paying Homage

To pay homage to our Greco, we wanted to have fun with the 'gold' part for our 2019 release. Buy our Greco di Oro and we'll include Gold Rush stories in your shipment with a little prospecting to do. Each package will have a hand-folded origami gold nugget.

When you unfold the nugget, you'll have a gift ~ either a discount off your next purchase, a bottle of wine or our grand prize, two tickets to our Taste of the Ranch event in May 2022. No, that is not a typo. Alas, our next event will be in 2022, but be prepared for one special celebration!
